• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Stated playing guitar at 12 wanting to play like Dave Mustain and the like, then at 16 I discovered Pink Floyd. David Gilmour would be would prove to be the singular most influential guitar player for me. Not only in regards with my playing style, but what type of gear I used, and how I went from focusing on just playing, to the actual tone and how the guitar, amps pickups, strings, wood, etc influences the sound.
I put the guitar down for a few years, but picked it up a couple years later after going to the Fleetwood Mac reunion concert in 97,and watching Buckingham blow the crowd away with his acoustic solo performance of Big Love. After that I put away the electric guitar and picks, and Focused on acoustic and finger picking.
Time went on, and I put the guitar away again, only to pick it back up sheet an injury caused me to have to be home for over 6 months. I picked it up again, and went back to Pink Floyd, SRV and the British blues players. Comfortably Numb had always been my fav
