I just had a flash last night on some of the "issues" that I've encountered on several of the vintage guitars I've owned over the years.
I thought that it could be a valuable resource if there was a thread that explained some potential problems, and/or modifications that can go unseen in photos...
Heat the shaft with a soldering iron, slide the old ones off, slide the new ones on, right?
Keep em straight, etc.
