    1964 SG Standard Pricing

FWIW, a known, knowledgeable vintage guitar collector that I trust valued mine several years ago before the onset of COVID at around $7500. It had a noticeable, stable neck repair, and replacement Schaller tuners. That was the approximate value that I used when trading it.

Why do your nuts go brown after a while? ?

Certainly not from overuse in my case.

Pics Of The Last Guitar You Purchased

This one is deep. It’s 1 and 10/16 wide at the nut though, 1/16 less than it should be, but it isn’t really noticeable.

    Mike Bowen good mojo thread

Unfortunately, I just heard today that Mike passed away last month. He had been battling cancer for quite some time. Here is a link to the obituary: https://memorials.thomas-littlefuneralservice.com/michael-bowen/5313504/index.php

I’m not familiar with this one…50th Anniversary Vic DaPra

AFAIK there were 25 VOS and 25 gloss. I actually bought a used gloss one a few years ago from Vic when he owned my local shop. They were the first of the limited runs made for Vic when he owned Guitar Gallery, in Canonsburg, PA. If you do a search for DaPra Bourbon Fade, there should be at least...

Hey it's Mat from Gibson Product Development - AMA

Fortunately I still know an old school custom builder here in the Pittsburgh area. He still is available to me for remodeling and other minor stuff. The house was finished in 2008, and he was last here two weeks ago with a plumber that I recommended to him. Things were very comfortable over...

1961 GIBSON SG LES PAUL JUNIOR - UNPLAYED & ALL ORIGINAL

Nice to see one without a warped pick guard like my 62. Mine has the “lightning bar” bridge. Mojoaxe makes a compensated one of these as well. Opened with “Rock the Nation” back in 1974. I’m glad someone still plays it.

    DUMBLE or D Style amps

I hope to see the Ceriatone in a couple of months.

    DUMBLE or D Style amps

2nd generation Two Rock TS1 (100/50),Mark Kane ODS (100W early 80s circuit), Louis Electric Cobra, and a Ceriatone OTS 50 on order. This type of amp works for me; I hardly touch the other types.

    PRS McCarty (Les Paul-ish)

I went to 57/08s in mine and haven’t looked back. On the other hand, there’s a guy on the PRS forum who’s gone full circle and put the originals back in his.

    Mike Bowen

He stopped into Guitar Gallery with his wife within the last few weeks. I wasn’t there, but he’s still with us.
