• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

    "Fool" SG, clear-coat suggestions please.

I posted this on the "Other Gibsons" forum and thought I'd share it here as I'd like to ask what would be the best lacquer to clear coat this guitar with? It was painted with acrylic paint over an acrylic base coat so I'm assuming I should use the same type of material to finish it with. Does...

    Clapton "Fool" SG project.

Hello Guys, Its a long time since I posted on here but having been commissioned to paint a "Fool" SG for someone. Has anyone else here attempted this and does anyone know where the original guitar resides now?

    Buffer needed?

Having never been much of a pedal guy in the past could anyone advise me on whether or not I need a buffer in this chain? Tim and Wampler Echo are both true bypass and not buffered(I think). Does the Boss Chorus have a buffer that would obviate the need for purchasing a seperate one? Here's my...

Does anyone artificially age their pedals?

Looks more 'Rawk 'n' Rowl', right?

    AB box question.

I have a 20W Cornell 'Plexi' head with two channels. I want to set the high treble channel for clean and the 'normal' channel for lead and then use an AB-box to switch between the two. Does anyone have any recommendations on AB boxes and are they tone-suckers?

    Old Tokai Explorer.

This is a pretty cool Explorer copy spec'ed from one of Rick Neilsens '58's apparently. Sorry for the small shots but 'Imageshack' now want you to pay to get images at a decent size…... Body is two-piece mahogany bleached to look like Korina and it's light as feather with great tone and...

"Rock 'n' Roll Relics" Cool SG Junior clone.

I'm a confirmed SG Junior nut and I think this thing sounds great, never heard of them before but I really like it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9EE9mXl7iw Cool amp too…...

Wishbone Ash 1976, great vintage tones, Vees, LP's etc.

Some classic vintage sounds here - I thought the interplay between Laurie's Strat and Andy's Gibson was great in this concert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT-yTBrplSE Anyone got any info on Laurie's 'Burst?

Anyone here use a 'Tim' or 'Timmy' pedals?

I recently got hold of a 'Tim' pedal by Paul Cochrane and it's a really good pedal. I have an idea it does something similar to a "Klon" but I'm not sure? Either way it's a terrific piece - very subtle and transparent whilst adding great presence - anyone here have one?

    Hotel California tone.

I had to play the end solo to this song recently at a local 'jam night' and used another guys rig - a 50W 'Engl' combo and a pretty loaded pedal board. To begin with I played it dry (I think there might have been a hint of reverb on there) but where I think Joe Walsh comes in I happened to hit a...

Where is Keiths Ex. Albert KIng Flying Vee??

The thread on the vintage forum prompted me to ask - didn't this one get nicked from Nellcote along with the 'Burst?
