    I just purchased a R9 from Japan. Not sure it is 1999 or 2009 one.....

    I applied lemon oil to the dry fretboard and now it looks better. here is the weight of the tailpiece, it is very heavy, but it is common. One thing that I realized is that there is a string bar on the screws top in the tune-o-matic piece.
