• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have a couple of Les Pauls from the 70's in my stable, and my 1975 Standard has the fattest neck I have ever played. Like a baseball bat, but it has tone and sustain for days, that is the only reason I bought it and got used to it. My 77's have much slimmer necks, so just keep your eyes open and find something that feels right. I usually do the same, but in the situation with the 1975 Std not feeling right, it was worth getting used to because of the sound!!!!
