Been out of the historic custom shop game for a bit so excuse the potentially stupid question. I was looking at a couple of 2019 custom shop black beauties. They both have the Gibson custom toggle back plate logo thing. One of them had a vintage style serial number: 7 with a space and four more digits… Yet the other one had a serial number that started with CS and also had a small custom shop logo further down on the back of the headstock… What’s the difference? Is one more valuable than the other? Thanks!

The one with the 7 is a '57 RI. All hog body.

Got it. All mahogany. And I assume the difference in price means some better quality with the R7… Hopefully…
