• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hey Guys,

I just picked up this guitar for $2700. It comes with the original pickups and a set of unknown aftermarket pickups. The sellers father passed away so he did not know what the aftermarket pickups were. It also comes with the original case. Here is a link to some photos in my google photos account.

The guitar is in excellent condition. Did I pay a good price?

It's what you think that matters. Looks pretty sweet.

I'm actually trying to determine what a fair market value for this guitar is. It's very difficult to find recent selling prices over the past year for this guitar because it is hard to find. Does anyone on this form have more experience than me regarding the market prices for this specific model?

You've already bought it so what's the point. Seems a fair price for a good guitar. Play it with no regret. What if we told you you paid $100 too much? Are you thinking about selling it on?

I appreciate your response however it's best not to assume why I'm asking the question. I'm just trying to find a fair market value for this instrument. I'd appreciate a response from anyone that is very familiar with fair market value for this instrument.

Respectfully,
John

I paid 2500 for a 1999 R7. Mine is not as clean as the one you bought. Think 2700 is about right.

Thank you. That is what I felt also but every time I find them online they're going anywhere from $3,200 to $3,700
but I think these are just asking prices and people are not actually paying this much.

I don’t know about the price but the other guitar player in one of my bands plays a R9 from 1993 and it’s a very nice guitar.

I'd say between $2300 and $2700.
