I didn't mean to imply the wood was walnut, but the color of the stain (about which I may be wrong too :biggrin: ). A burst usually has a cherry red back. Yours has a nice dark (but not too dark) back. :peace2

Vaschenko is very particular on his '59's. Compare it to this:

The dirty lemon front and color of the back are in line the specs of the original '59. The Vaschenko sunbath :jimshown in the picture (which takes several days) is to achieve that special color of the dirty lemon. I can say the price of the Vaschenko is lighter:3zone
