• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Got this beauty in the mail today: '68/69 SG Custom in lovely Polaris white. All original and plays/sounds smooth as hell. I'm guessing it's an early '69, the serial puts it in '69, the pots date to 37th week of '68, and there is no volute whatsoever (I thought at some point in '69 they started showing up with small volutes). Pretty cool--came with the original receipt from the orig guitar center and came with some old packs of Ernie Balls.

Realize there is some lacquer yellowing, but Gibson sure got the color right on those late '60s SG Customs. Some of the finest looking SGs out there. :dude:

Yeah, I was a little nervous too--but Ebay had the buyer protection deal. So I rolled the dice. Guy was selling it for his brother who apparently doesn't like computers, etc.

Wow, i love these late 60s SGs, they surely have some serious MOJO. Congrats :dude:

Is it brighter sounding with T-Tops and ebony fingerboard than the Standards i see on your photo?

Bob ..it would be interesting to hear your comparisons as you're obviously a true SG lover.
