• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

My '98 R8, new from Ronn David/Vintage World - traded a '57 LP Special that is worth more $$ now but...oh well...
She was a Lemonburst but I had her refinned - she's now sporting a set of DiMarzio 36th Anniversary p/ups and I'm quite pleased.
I'll have to dig up the serial #'s on my other Hystericals, to see if they're worthy of being posted in this thread.

Here's my 2016 Historic. It's a 1954 Reissue, but it's a chambered model. I know a lot of people don't like the chambered models but I like the way they sound better.

First, I put Lollar P-90s in it. Then I put NOS Cornell Dublier caps in them. I put one of those Staple P-90s in there from Lollar and really like it a lot. I also changed the knobs because they were yellow and I like the black ones better.

One cool thing about it is the back and sides are red like a Standard instead of being all black or natural. Kind of gives it a different look.

I just got a mid 50s Les Paul Special and it's shocking how close the necks are.

These both have even serial numbers and are from even production years. 1998 R8 on the left, 2010 R7 LPC on the right
