I'm loving my new babies, but I'm really missing a trem. Playing 'Bark At The Moon' and 'Ain't Talkin Bout Doug' just ain't the same. I keep reaching for the arm at certain points. I have a Bigs on my Gretsch and even without a roller bridge it stays in tune pretty well as long as I don't go full bore EVH on it.
Initially I though about a B70 on a Vibramate for both guitars. But I have access to a freebie B3 and I'm thinking about putting it on one of my Tribute Ts to try it out. Maybe a roller bridge while I'm at it. I would prefer a B3 over a B7/Vibramate if it'll work ok. So ...
Anyone mounted a B3 on a Les Paul Studio or Tribute?
Any issues with mounting it?
Strings stay in the saddle slots OK? Enough downward force?
Anything weird going on that wouldn't be going on if it were a B70?
