• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hi all, just thought I would post this here. It's has a few mods but it plays like a dream. It's in excellent condition to boot. I still have all the original parts should I need to put it back as it was (save the nut and frets of course

) but I just love it like this.

1979 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe.
Genuine Gibson 60's - 70's tuners, knobs and truss rod cover
Aged bone nut (original cracked)
It's had one Refret (Dec last year)
Faber Tone Lock tail piece and bridge.
CTS 500K pots.
RC 90 Pickups with ThroBak covers

I am going to switch out the pickups to either ThroBak's or Monty's (my current thinking) though I am still looking.

The pics are pre the truss rod cover, new nut and refret.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

Rich

My '77 Standard was dark like that too.
