• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Ive been itchin for one of these for years! (George Thorogood fan). I'm curious of the weight. Ive played all kinds...some real boat anchors at 10lbs!....My Epi Casino is the lightest at just over 6. I heard the 125's are lighter? at 5 ? Does it feel toy like? thx

I can't imagine an ES-125 weighing 10lbs. All the vintage ES-125s, ES-225s and ES-330s I've handled have all been very light. Recent ES-135s are another story, some have been quite heavy, but they are a completely different animal.

I've been told you have to stuff them with something to stop them squealing, like cotton wool.

They are generally lightweight guitars. I have the non-cutaway single pickup ES125 and it's a featherweight!

My '61 ES-125 TCD weighs 5lbs 12oz with a bigsby.
It can howl if you get too close to a loud amp.
But I've used it in loud situations before and never had to stuff it.
