• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hi!

New member here.
Im posting a few pics of my guitar. Its a 2011 R8
The guitar is totally black. I understand that this isn't a standard model.
Serial number is 811302.
I came with a sertificate.
This is the first time I'm posting pics. Please tell me if they dont show up :)

Cheers, Lars

Very nice! I always liked the black top on Standards. Has a classy look without being black tie. :salude

Thank you.

It sounds incredible. Never had a guitar before that sounded this great.
I've played it through different amp setups.
It sounds really fat.

What is written on the case? Is it a Wildwood special run? Looks cool.

Love this guitar!!! I'd get one if it wasn't so close in color to my Oxblood R4... :dude:

It says Gibson Custom on the case. The case is black. Its more lilac inside than pink.
There is a tape with CS R8 60s neck, written on it. I think its from a previous dealer.
Comparing it to another R8 I've played, Im not sure that the neck is that much skinnier.

yes, black is a cool color for guitars

I may be biased, though (see my avatar)
