What's your favorite amp-like OD Pedal?
That works great with an amp set clean, gives a warm overdriven sound and cleans up nicely with the guitars volume?

This this, the Blackstone Appliances Mosfet Overdrive excels. Also works great into a driven amp already but, into a clean amp - it's really one of the better ones I've tried/own.

Still loving my Zendrive and Landgraff--and just got a new Klon KTR. Excellent on its own as a clean boost or light gain, and does something wonderful with the Zen and Landy.

My faves are my old Klon, a Tim and now a JHS Morning Glory I picked up recently. A Maxon 808 will still do in a pinch.

Yes That's a really good pedal. Not harsh. It adjusts to single coil or Humbucker. I can leave it on the "brown" side just for boost the kick on the "red" side for great distortion. All controlled by the vol knobs. Nice!

This is mine:

Really dig the Timmy. Not sure you could call it amp-like but it gives you more of what you already got.

I still like my cliche Tube Screamers. I have an 808 and a 9 and even though I seem to use the 808 the most Im not sure I feel any differently about either of them.
A buddy gave me an old Boss OD 1 on the weekend that I have yet to try.

I think the Boss OD is a terrible sounding overdrive but lots of people seem to like 'em. I don't get that one. :wah

A "Pedal without a cause" in effect.

On my board I have the following:

Catalinbread RAH-Does that Jimmy HiWatt thing.
Rothwell Hellbender-To cover the Marshall side of things.
Wampler Pinnacle Deluxe-Goes for that EVH brown sound.

All 3 pedals respond very well to changes in guitar volume.

I just recently picked up a Celestial Effects Taurus. I'm still dialing it in - figuring out what amps and what guitars it goes best with, but it;s a really cool pedal with a lot of good sounds available. I also have a non-Mosfet Full-Drive 2 that I was playing a lot a couple weeks ago with my Vox AC4TV and really liking that. I also have a bunch of others, on my mail board is a TS9, Bixonic and Rat, between those I can get just about any sound I ever need.

I like the Fulltone OCD pedal... Analog, very vintage like and clean on the picking.

My Timmy does not get along with my BF/SF amps. We will see how the pedal works when I get my 5E3 build up and running.

I've got a million of these things. Anyway, a friend recently turned me onto his Mad Proffessor Little Green Wonder. It's on my board now. It's tube screamer like, but it's more than that. Sounds great with all my stuff and it works really well with my vol. knob.
