what's a p - 60 ???

Unless I missed something somewhere I have not heard of a p60. Gibson offers a couple of beasts known as the P90 and P100. The P90 is their good old single coil pickup, that design goes back to the good old days prior to the introduction of the double coil humbucking pickups. ie. most of the LPs made prior to 1957 would have had P90 pickups.

The P100 is some kind of modern mutation that attempts to have a single coilish sound while also being humless. Not many around here seem to have anything good to say about them

It looks like a version/copy of the 'disputed' first electric solidbody that Bigsby built for Merle Travis. Strat type headstock and all. Very nice.

John what a beautiful interpretation of the guitar-after a/b ing them, I prefer yours. The tele is also gorgeous-having built a few lutes and a d-35 i can appreciate your work-it is elegant-especially the curves of the cutaway and pick guard-well done-and great wood too-how does it sound-do you know what the original pup was in the bigbsy and what is sounded like? What fun-maybe youd build a regular scale, light les paul recoriding bass with leds in the side markers for me-my christmas wish
