I see this amazing sounding Gibson les Paul custom shop in the local store … sounds amazing, it feels good, of course with a hefty price tag..but …. this is the nut that comes with
Certainly most of us , like me, would be : purchase the guitar and then go to a luthier to change the nut. Right?

Are you sure it’s a CS Les Paul? They have been using nylon nuts for a few years now. Is that one bone? Also, the neck binding seems rather thick.

Yes is a CS, one the 360 1955 commemorative NAMM Les Paul.

Yes is a nylon nut, it just called my attention the difference in height between the treble strings vs the bass strings. First Gibson I ve seen with such difference

If the neck is straight, no twisting or string buzz?
I would nt say the neck is entirely straight .. it looks a bit u-shaped bow.. and the saddle is higher in the bass strings.. no buzzes luckily. The guitar plays phenomenal perhaps I would sand a bit the frets, just to avoid the feeling that the guitar is fighting you in the higher neck position.
I wouldn’t say that the bass strings are in the high action threshold.. but, I leave to your eyes to decide

That's completely normal, it's what a well cut nut should look like. The height is not the same on all strings because of 2 things. 1. Neck radius. 2. Strings have different diameters and a well cut nut should cover no more than half the string to reduce contact. Cheaper guitars cut cost and rather than shaving the whole nut, they just make the slots deeper.

Only the bottom half of the string is in contact with the nut at the bottom of its slot, regardless of the depth of the slot. Removing the part of the nut between the strings above half the depth of the slot is only a matter of look and doesn't change the suface contact of the string with the nut.
Cheaper guitars cut cost and rather than shaving the whole nut, they just make the slots deeper.
One can only adjust roughly the string's height at the nut by shaving the whole nut. The final adjustment is done by filing the slot of each string individually.

That would not bother me one second.
I would fix it IF it needs fixing.

That nut is fine.
It's fiddly to leave half of the diameter of the string proud of the nut when it's .0045" , but the top of that nut could be taken down on the treble side so the strings sit proud.

Thank you all for your comments.. I have had in the past 4 Gibsons les Pauls and some replicas too.. and all of them their nut was evenly cut from the bass strings to the treble ones (I mean the size of the nut ) and the bridge/saddle/ABR-1 was parallel to the top, but this one has the saddle incline to the treble strings due to how the nut was cut .. a matter of geometry at the end of the day

The string should not sit deeply in the nut.
Because of this, a properly cut nut will slope downward in relation to the fingerboard, to a greater degree on the treble side.
A nut that looks like yours is one of the first things I hope to see to gauge if the others who worked on a guitar knew what they were doing.
And, if one likes low action, the bridge will be slightly higher on the bass side because the strings deflect more when they vibrate, and are more likely to buzz.
