What Model Pickups Are These

I found two sets of pickps in my junk box with PAT NO 2,737,842 stamped into the metal on the bottom. Both sets have black bobbins and are four conductor anyone have an idea of what these may be? I was going to put a set in in a trashed out 83 custom I got for free minus all the hardware. Someone had made a fretless wounder out of it and after digging through all my junk parts I came up with enough hard ware to rebuild it the thing plays great any way I was just woundering if anyone knew what these were before i wasted my time installing them! :lol1

They are late '70s early '80s Gibson pickups.

I don't care for them. there are alot of better pickups out there, but they are stock equiptment for that custom I believe. You may want to give them a shot.

Thanx again Tonefiend! I installed them and they arent great but they work lots of mids and highs lacking in bottom though!
