Sorry haven't replied off late guys..Computer went down with some sort of bug..God knows where it came from. My wife was trying to access the bank when suddenly our server was cut and all this porno crap came up on the screen. It changed our dialup to some other number . Every time I got rid of it and went on the interenet. It did the same thing, over and over again.
Over the past few days I have installed a spy watch thing.. An ad blocker and went out and bought a new internet security package which detected a trojan horse and a thing called a bugbear... Christ knows what they are, but it seems to have fixed it. This is the first time I have logged on for a few days now, so am just seeing if things are ok.
Haven't these arseholes got anything better to do than fuck around with peoples computers. Lucky I don't know where they live, coz I be round there with my German shepherds and they'd be out of action for a darned sight longer than a few days in intensive care.

Will post back replies later,

Cheers,
Phil.

Phil. =(

I normally don't like tight, pin-stripe flame but this stuff ripples and wiggles around a little bit so I kinda dig it. As for the price, yeah, to hell with it...

Billy – I don’t think there’s any problem for a US citizen bringing his own guitars into UK, you should have no problem with any taxes. Problem only arises if they suspected guys are making a buisiness of it, bringing in so many guitars that it’s clearly suspicious.

Hey, you should have a great time if you haven’t been here before, & weather usually hot in August too … but steer clear of the usual “tourist trail”, that’s all naff …PM me if you want proper suggestions for places to go & things too see, good restaurants etc.

Ian.

Oh for goodness sake! People advertise GC, MF and just about every other dealer and his hound around here.

For all ye Brits seeking the ultimate Lester deal, ye'll be seeking : www.thehouseofcustoms.com Andy Slinn's the chap - one sentence answers and a pretty gob-awful communicator, but he'll get you your Guitar at near US prices alright...I got an R8 from him.

I've seen that site before. If you are planning on buying, you might want to check out the details on this forum or others first.

Welcome to rip off Britain.
However I must say that the prices quoted by Vintage and rare always have been and always will be from another planet. Most of the stuff they sell is for other people and actually they charge a stupid amount of money in commision. I would imagine that they overheads for a store in Denmark street must be outrageous.
There are loads of Uk based bargains on ebay, A really nice 99 R9 went for £1700 a couple of weeks ago. A nice 57 single cuthistoric went for less than £800 a week ago .
e can still get lot's of guitar for our sacred English pound. Who knows we may one day be part of Europe !!!!

Very cool! I appreciate that. I've never been to England. I'm gonna bring 2 Lesters with me. I'm not looking to hit a home run, BUT, If I can pocket a few bucks to lower the Home Equity Loan a bit......

Hey Phil;

Last time I was in London there was an origional '59 or '58 Burst on Denmark St. Don't remember the name of the shop but it was near the start of the street on the left hand side.

Did you ever see that one? Do you know if it sold and for how much?

LOVE Denmark St but could never buy anything there. Like in Paris, the prices of the US stuff is SOOOOOO over inflated!! Even some of the English stuff was a bit pricey. NEVER saw so many Hiwatts and VOXes though!

Paris is the WORST though. Man the prices are sky high! And the stock doesn't seem to move particularily quickley.

I am going back this June! What are the best shops in London these days? I have never lived in London, only Yorkshire and Devon (Totnes) where my parents live!

I'll be in the North of England on business next week, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle, anyone know if there's any cool guitar shops worth a visit in those parts?

Tat might be a bit strong - but it is certianly overpriced - highly overpriced in fact.
