Right? We got PRRI, DRRI, SRRI, TRRI so why not a real honest to goodness reissue of the amp everyone wants? Not like the "Custom" ones Fender has come out with, but the real deal goddamit! All we have to do is get everyone of us, including the dealers, and the You Tube influencers, and the artists, to pester Fender to do it. Show them how they would sell a million of them. Are you with me? I said are you with me?

The 68 custom (rip), was the only amp I liked with 10” speakers. If you ever get the chance to play the Deluxe & Vibro’ together, give it a go!

I have a Radiall A/B/Y deal and the best thing I ever heard (come out of my guitar) was a '69 DR & and a Marshall 2061x head/cab- killah.

Personally if I got a Fender type it would most likely be a hand wired Princeton Reverb, or a Down Brownie.

Or if I wanted to lay out the cash to scratch a bucket list itch a LP Twin is one Fender type amps I'd love to own. The Victoria 50212 in particular is a whole lot of sexy in one box. A head version would be the bee's knees. Just the thought of running that through one of my alnico SRO loaded cabs give me deep feels in a tight way.

The first good amp I ever owned, and still own, is a 1968 Vibrolux. I always liked it, and it's been on tons of records. I've used it live since I started playing in bands in 1989, in middle school. I didn't know this until a few years ago, but the model number on the chassis means it's the BF one with the silver panel. I've played other ones that sound good, too. And honestly, I kind of like the silver look.

It's versatile, and IMHO, sounds way better than a Deluxe Reverb, which I've never heard of an excellent model of.

I think it has been reissued, but the reissues just kind of look the same. They don't usually sound that good. The Custom Shop amps I've had (Vibro King and 57 Twin) have sounded great when working correctly, but both of mine were plagued with bad solder joints that needed to be retouched.

I was told this was because of the lead free solder of today, and after being retouched with the old kind the issues went away - until popping up at another joint. I should say I am usually leaving them on standby outside in the heat/rain all summer so my experience may not be typical.

Find an old one, get it serviced and play it!

Here it is in the front row!
