Vintage Saddles

The high E string saddle on my 50s conversion has become cut too deep over the years.... B sting is questionable..I'm looking for a couple of vintage saddles if anyone has a couple to spare? thanks

Best practice is to replace the entire bridge and keep the old one for posterity/collectability. They collapse over time and need replacing anyway.

its not the bridge it's two saddles

I’d still replace it. Or- you can lower the slots in the other saddles and raise the bridge.

Seems as though we're into day 3 of a 15 minute fix.

Then why are you fixing it? Seriosuly, it takes about 15 minutes to repalce and adjust the bridge. You can keep the original bridge for the next owner, and once you change out one saddle you generally need to replace all six as they vary a lot, especially if they were previously worked on.

Seriously, just lower the other 5 strings and then raise the bridge. It's expected the bridge will be replaced on an ABR1 ( unless some heathen put a Nashville bridge on a 50's conversion in which case they should be pilloried in the town square) so it's really just considered maintenance.

thanks I may also be in the market for both LP Volume 500k centralab pots..my "swwep" seems to come and go..sat for way to long in NY waiting for a neck set..without bneing used. sprayed it today and seems to be coming back. Doing three nights at HOB in Myrtle this weekend starting Thursday (7.9) and hoping for the best.
