• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Awesome Mike.
Wish I had just one of these beauties.
My choice would be the 1958 ES-225 TDN.

My my, that's a sweet grouping of guitars. I love that figure all over the top of the '60 ES330. and on the top horn of the '59 ES335. Yep that's a great group of guitars Mike

Sure Sol - but what do you want to know? They all play and sound great, all are different animals, of course. The 345 still has the Varitone in it.

I always loved Dave Edmunds' blonde ES-335.
But the reason I would go for the ES-225 is George Thorogood's tone
he has with his original ES-125.
Played one some years ago and they sound pretty close.
Not an expert here. Just my 2cts.

Oh, I'm going to dream about those tonight, I promise. What a wonderful line up of 50's rarities!

Any cool, first owner or guitar safari stories? I must have taken a while to find these.

Well, Id be interested to know more about the Varitone circuit for example. The demand for the circuit doesnt seem to be universal in its appeal by any means, and Id appreciate your thoughts on the circuit, its utility and value to the player.
Thanks Mike.

thanks for sharing Mike! Those blondes are all gorgeous. Just to confirm: the 345 is the "First Rack" guitar you and I talked about a few months ago, right? Pictures #1 and #3 make it look like the VT ring isn't black, but #2 does. (Just checking, in case you have another blonde 345 we need to talk about) ;-)

Wow.

Wow.

Wow.

I think I could make due with one each ES 225, ES 330, and ES335.
