• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Where do you guys do you your shopping for old amps and cabs? I have 2 old Marshall 4x12 cabs that I want to move and have not gotten much interest from places like TGP or the SD forum. CL is a waste and feebay is not a real attractive option although it may be the best one these days. Whats the hot spot these days for moving gear?

It really is a buyer's market right now. Making matter's worse nobody wants big amps right now.

CL is what it is, but more importantly it's free. Throw them up and see what happens. eBay might be your best bet, but I cringe at the idea of packing and shipping a 4-12.

True, but I am hoping to find a vein of vintage guys who might be interested. I understand that everyone is downsizing. I am doing the same thing. I guess I missed my window by a few years. Patience is the order of the day it seems

The nominal fee for access to the Back Stage area includes unlimited access to the classifieds too. I originally signed up because I had some gear where this was the right audience to pitch it to. Since then, I've renewed just to maintain access to the Back Stage threads and support the best guitar forum on the 'net.

I was looking around to see what the fee was but didn't see it. Does any contribution qualify? I assumed there woulld be a minimum. Not opposed to contributing to access the classifieds. The crickets from several other established forums left me wondering if it was worth the effort to list them again. What the hell...

Go to "User CP" on the upper left side of this page next to "FAQ", then click on "paid subscriptions" on the left side to choose which one you want.

Thanks. That was it. Taken care of.

Need to do a little research to see what the market value is for these things. If they are too far in the toilet I will probably hang on to them. There are worse things than having old Marshall cabs at your disposal. I would like to downsize to cabs that will fit in my car though

TGP is a waste of time in my experience. Your ad will be on page 10 after about 5 minutes.

ebay is still the best way to advertise stuff in my opinion. there are ways around the final value fee...

Architect, if you don't find a home for those cabs with a fellow member here, the Plexi Palace pages are a great place to find Marshall fanatics.

I've got a '74 cab I can't move on CL either. Where are all the guys I knew into this old stuff 10 years ago? Let me know if anyone is interested. Hoping to get $925 for it. Tell me if I'm crazy. Very original and not beat up.

71Rcode, condition and speakers make the value. Again, Plexi Palace is where the Marshall players keep serious company, ime. THat cab should be of interest to someone if the speakers are original and the cosmetics are good. Casters are important, too. Your price isn't bad for original and used condition, I would think. Original and exc cond might be more pricey than that in the right market.
I sold a JCM800 series Silver Ann. cab through that forum a couple of years back.
