Tweed Deluxe handle replacement

Some months ago I decided to celebrate my 40th birthday with a present I had wanted for a long time: an original Tweed Deluxe. I finally decided to go for this one and everything was great.

I am no collector so the amp gets played all the time. I take good care of it but it is out of the house, both for recordings and gigs. The problem is that a couple of weeks ago I blew the original Jensen P12R (bummer), so I decided to replace it with a Celestion Blue that I love now. Probably I will need Orange County Speakers to recone the original one and see how it compares with the Blue.

And just yesterday, while moving the amp from my car to the venue the original handle just broke (bummer again)! So my question is where can I find a replacement for the original handle?

Many thanks in advance!

I bought the ones from Jim's Guitars for all of my tweeds. I find his to be the most accurate repros I've found.

+1 for the ones from Jim's. I have those leather reproduction handles on all of my vintage tweed amps and they're great.

Zorglub!, nice score on the amp. :salude Those will give you a lot of tone in a "grab 'n go" package. You've also discovered the weakness of old Fender tweed amps: the handle! I remember getting schooled on that way back when while helping a guy move some amps at a guitar show. Fortunately, I didn't damage anything, but the lesson stuck and I've always approached original leather handles with care (as in carrying the amp in my hands and not using the handle) and installed repros on my own tweed amps so I CAN use the handle.

I have bought many old suitcases and radios from back in the day that had correct replacement handles!!! Watch Fleabay or antique stores and you will find them, many times cheaper than replacement handles currently sold!:yah:yah Plus you end up with a nice tweed suitcase or cool radio!:jim:jim

Thanks, mate. I would have loved to know in advance... This is my first tweed, I have been playing BFs for years and of course no concern there... I have learned the hard way! :dang
