I don't think Mr. Noodles is pawning off an early 1980s Greco EGF as a 'fake' ..... LOL
Mr. Noodle's EGF has a medium tenon that is doweled, not a long tenon and it has a veneer top, not a solid top.
It would be difficult to compare a Greco EGF and a 'burst' and mistake them for being anything other than completely different.
That isn't taking anything away from a Greco EGF; they can be pretty decent and a few have been pretty damn good but they aint a burst.

I saw that video quite some time ago posted on a different forum.
The video even shows (at 5:34) one of my old Reverb listings for a set of extremely rare original none covered set of DryZ pups that were original in my old 1981 Greco MSV-850.
Just be happy for Mr. Noodles ........

the Dry Zs were in storage for about 10 years and I installed them in this solid top 'fake' some time before I eventually sold the pickups

My point is.. Top Knot is asking the question, in the title of the video, “did I buy a fake?” .. then tells us it’s a Greco with a Gibson logo.. so he knows it’s a fake..

I detest fakes and him.

well, we all know that Youtube is a 'social media' platform and as such there are, by odds, those using these platforms that will troll folks

Mr. Noodles is just building up some drama which he seems to be OK with and I'm no fan of Mr. Noodles myself .......

I think it's a shame everyone on YouTube uses stupid click-bait titles, even good channels I respect, because it's the only way to get the metrics they need on YouTube to get visibility. Hopefully it will change when YouTube realise it's having a negative impact on content.

YouTube drives: they don't care for quality content. They care for clicks = advertising revenue. If sustained disdain drives a channel down, they'll promote the next in queue.

There are so many channels like this, in search of clicks. I generally prefer watching real players play over channels where internet personalities blather their opinions. Feh...

I'll say one thing for top knot: He puts a LOT of effort into making his playing LOOK good. I bet he spends hours playing in front of a mirror so his moves are on point.

Full disclosure in advance right? I have no clue about youtube videos. Not my thing.

I did watch 43 seconds of the posted clip

Couldn't stop wondering why the dude has an old skool Grolsch beer bottle straplok on a guitar with no strap

Kids these days are silly I tells ya!

This is one of the main reasons why I detest him.. he’s nothing but a greasy top knot noodle YouTube guitar gymnast..

I'm not familiar with Mr. Noodles; is he/was he in a band, has he written/performed any recognizable songs or is he just some Utub jester?

Besides his presence on Youtube, he plays in a band named "Cardinal Black" which released their debut album in october 2023 and he played about 70 live gigs in UK and (N-W) Europe during the last 2 and a 1/2 years.
