• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

today appears to be a good day to bring some vintage guitars back to the US

Quite Rob. Thoroughly miserable. I'm in one bit of the map that voted Remain surrounded by Leave areas.

My whole constituency and all those surrounding it, voted to LEAVE by a majority of 2 to 1 !!

Depressing.

God knows where this will all go, but I'm not looking forward to it.

2 to 1!! We managed a 55% to 45% Remain here, which is a small consolation prize on the day.

It's not just a case of markets rebounding - it's jobs, housing, education, manufacturing, health service, you name it. Effects everything and will do for years and years. Feel sorry for my teenage sons.

You guys will experience some short term issues, but I think you're better off in the long run. :salude

words of wisdom Eric - at least our mistakes will be ours and not made in the Euro - Long term will be better and even the short term I doubt if we will notice
any difference - its all a political bad joke. Can I import my guitars back to the USA for a profit LOL

Please don't rub it in!

Today has been bad enough already!

Today has revealed a day for democracy ....

I recall the Muse song ...

Rise up and take the power back
It's time the fat cats had a heart attack
You know that their time's coming to an end
We have to unify and watch our flag ascend

Well, if the pound stays low against the dollar, that makes the trip over for the show in October more appealing to me.

Its still within what I have seen it in the past… 1 pound equals 1.37 dollars.. Its gonna be fine. We are here touring and the level of concern on the streets among the merchants is pretty limited. God save the Queen and the almighty Pound Sterling! :salude

I shall judge the short term impact on the pound by the size of your guitar safari on this tour! :hee:salude

I've been touring here since 04…

I started working on trading desks in 1986, and it'll be fine. I'll willingly take a little short-term discomfort for the right to elect and, more importantly, vote out our lawmakers.

God save the Queen.

God bless you guys whatever happens. And remember, the press is more than 50% full of shyt and has an agenda. Don't let them rule your emotions. Also from Ren's Rulez of Engagement©®℗™℉℞: if a politician said it there is very little truth in it.

And as Mark Twain said: "If voting made a difference they wouldn't let us do it...".

Thank you for your voice of reason John.

Look back at the '70s, the French mouthpiece De Gaulle kept saying 'non!' when we asked to join their little economic club.

Like anyone who has been knocked back, we kept banging on their damned doors and eventually they let us in.

It's been downhill since then.

We may experience some discomfort for a year or so but will be better off in the long haul.
