• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

That vid sealed the deal when I was thinking of pulling the trigger.
JLee, what kind of guitar did you put them in? Did you make any upgrades (ie wiring harness etc) & what was the approximate weight of the guitar they went in ?

The Koss set are in a 1980 Tokai LS-80. VIPOTS and vintage Bumblebees. Don’t know the exact weight. Probably around 9lbs. with a fat ‘58 style neck. Guitar has a fat and deep voice.

The guitar came to me with Burstbucker 1/2. Neck was really clear in the guitar and bridge had a ton of snarl. A little too much snarl for my tastes. Wanted something a bit smoother. Switched to OX4 A4 low winds. Switched the A4 to UOA5 for more kick, then finally the Koss set. Koss set and the guitar are an absolute match made in heaven.
