Tonight I played through a Fender Champish thing I built.

12AT7 in the first, 6L6GC power.

Big transformers, 8" speaker, rich sound. (Close Miked)

Last nite on the gig it was the '63 Vibroverb reissue (again) with a homemade Tube Screamer clone. That amp is a true road warrior. If you can find one, check it out. No natural distortion but great cleans, reverb and vibrato. Built like the proverbial brick shithouse.

No natural distortion? What does that mean? Just curious as I have one of these amps, too, and when turned up mine goes through various stages of OD and then into distortion. :hmm

I play a Carol Ann HS-2 combo with JJ 6V6s and Celestion G12-65 Cream-back. The amp can also run 6L6s or EL 34s for 25 watts. I run Way Huge Supa Puss delay in the effects loop. Damn fine amp.
