Has TFF been renewed? I’m not getting that warning screen when I go there.
I'm putting a harness into my 1983 Ibanez Artist that has Ibanez's "58" pups. Hopefully, I'lll have some time to get to the job this week.
I'm a Mac guy. What is it you're asking?nuts, I can't tell. Anybody out there savvy on Mac OS?
It's like a Les Paul, but the pickups appear to have the capability for split and a push pull. I'll post pics soon.what is the control layout on that?
a while back I overrode the security certificate warning to re-enter the Fender Forum. Now I can't find where that function is to reset it ... if I even need to. Mac can be strange that way. You can do it, but you need to know the right combination of 'control' 'option' and/or something else and click on an otherwise non-responsive item. I ran into that yesterday when I was trying to re-introduce my printer to my network. Found a site online that said "control click on printer name" and it brought up a menu that was otherwise completely hidden.I'm a Mac guy. What is it you're asking?
Browser security is the issue with TFF.
Cool, thanks for that information. By the way, the Fender Forum is now secure, with a new certificate and updated software, FYIDan, a lot of it depends on which browser you're using. Most will toggle security setting for a given site by clicking on the icon just to the left of the address bar. If you're on a secure site, it will look like a closed padlock. I use the Brave Browser, which is Chromium based (like Google Chrome). When I'm on TFF, rather than the padlock, I get a " ! Not secure" instead of the padlock. If I click on that, it has a link to turn back on the security settings.
Nice! Now to go back and lock down my browser again.Cool, thanks for that information. By the way, the Fender Forum is now secure, with a new certificate and updated software, FYI
Neither one of those are true...Cool, thanks for that information. By the way, the Fender Forum is now secure, with a new certificate and updated software, FYI

That explains why, after resetting my browser, I started getting the warning message again.Neither one of those are true...

Not any sorrier than I am.yeah, sorry about that
Lack of maintenance??? Listen up folks!!! For the simple fact that the site even exists at this point, is a fuckin' miracle. AND... While I've spent a huge amount of time and effort keeping that site alive, I have absolutely NO control over upgrades, or anything else related to the "back end" of the site...vBulletin 5 was released in 2012. TFF is on version 4.x.x something with a 2009-2012 vintage. That means approx 10+ years worth of exploits are available for the version that TFF uses. Just. Not. Secure. Hence the bots.
The certificate issue is just another symptom of lack of maintenance.
