The Clapton Strat is the most versatile "stock" guitar available. Fight me!

Why would I want a pedal in 1 guitar when I can have a pedal I could use for all my guitars.

strats suck anyway

didnt watch the video
You can change pedal settings on the fly in a guitar based one.
I have a variable mid boost from many years back in one guitar. Wish I could find the same unit today. I can adjust the amount and frequency of boost on the fly.

When I think versatility from a stock guitar (ie. being able to cover a lot of ground or more specifically resemble multiple other types of guitar) I think the PRS models with lots of switching options like the Studio or Modern Eagle V.

If mods were allowed I have created two very versatile guitars. Firstly and HSS strat with a mini humbucker in the neck and the ability with switching to do multiple pickup combinations. Secondly, a PRS McCarty that I put Fishmans in - the multiple voices really add versatility. The only thing the PRS lacks is a true in-between strat tone because there is no middle pickup.

I will agree that the E.C. Strat is about the best guitar for the money. BUT there are many variations of LACE Sensor Gold pickups. You gotta find the early ones. Not as easy as it might seem to find a perfect one.

Yeah. I like the newer Noiseless pickups, too.
