I’ve been biting my lip and I’ve deleted several responses to this video..
I’m saying nothing.. about how I think “the beast” has been violated and its mojo tainted..
or am I saying anything about how top knots playing has no feeling or soul.. or will I say anything about how he’s just a YouTube/sports bar guitar gymnasts with zero individuality to his playing..
or am I saying anything about his fidgety picking and plectrum tucking bullshit, which is 90% of his playing style..

A missed opportunity in the 2nd half of the video--whoever set up the camera on the wrong side of CB [his left side] 'blew it' & a missed op to see primarily the guitar rather than his playing on it [or was that not 'The Beast' in the 2nd half of the video?]

I still wonder why so many talk so much sh*t on Chris Buck. He's young, he's keeping vintage guitar tone in style, and he can play. He also conjures up some great tones out of a variety of different guitars and amps. And most importantly, he making a living at what we around here love, playing guitar. How many people here talking the trash can say the same? For the last 25 years I've made my living playing guitar, and I have nothing but respect for what he's doing. For those of you talking the trash, please take the time to post videos/MP3s of your skills, I would love to see where you're coming from.

And on topic, The Beast has always been one of my favorite bursts, the things just roars!

I get that Chris may not be everyone's fave because musical tastes are subjective. I understand the "topknot/man bun" disdain, but this seems a bit OOT. Bonamassa and Mayer attract the same kind of reaction, and it's puzzling to me.

And those two guys are great musicians too. People say music isn't a competition but sometimes it feels like it around here!
To be honest I've never bought a record by Buck, Bonamassa, or Mayer, but I sure can appreciate them for their talent.

Wow! I know everyone has opinions, and musical taste is a very individual thing, but it kinda sounds like some people are jealous. You’d think he was playing the blues on some pointy-assed guitars or something. Or play 80’s shred on a vintage ‘Burst. I’d have figured that Chris would be respected around here, seeing as he’s the kind of person we want; a youngster interested (obsessed) with vintage gear and vintage tones. He’s getting youngsters all around the world interested in all the music and gear that we all love. That’s the only way that these instruments and all the gear, and all the reverence and love we have for them will continue into the future. Cuz it sure ain’t gonna be the doctors and lawyers who collect (hoard) this stuff doing it!
