• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I was pleased to see Paul Raymond of UFO using a Les Paul Studio during a recent show and wondered how many other musicians use them. Any other guitarists use Studios on stage?

Well, this is hardly an endorsement to hang your hat on but one of the guitarists (there are at least three) in James Brown's touring band plays a nice red Studio

I do, and while Gibson hasn't yet contacted me, I'm being flooded with requests for tambourine endorsements.

Paul is a secret weapon without a doubt. When I saw them around `80 or so, he was using what looked like an SG style junior. It was great watching him go back and forth from keys to guitar.

It's good to see some people play them live. :wail I also agree that Paul is a great musician who really pulls things together for the band. I've always liked his playing both on keyboard and guitar, and believe he's a big reason UFO became as good as they were/are. :dude

I did change the pickguard, pickup rings, switch washer, control knobs because I liked the contrast more.

But it's a Studio all right. Notice the other one on the background, just for backup...

Hardly a reason to run out and buy one, but I use one on stage, a '93 Studio Lite.
