This has turned into a silly diversion from the original idea of the thread.
I had thought I might be able to help, but I'll drop it.
Too much secrecy and RR has ignored my questions anyway. :eek:la

Hey if I have not answered your questions I am sorry. I just missed them I think.
I have tried to answer or respond to each person as they come up.
What do you want to know? Again I apologize if I appear to be ignoring you.

Even more despicable.

Hey Elliot
I actually live near Ric O in the Hudson valley. I have seen him around.
Seriously, Elliot Easton's guitar work is outstanding stuff and obviously you are into
his style. His stuff always reminds me of little separate songs inside the songs.
I remember hearing somewhere that JHS was a huge fan or they were gonna form
a band or something. Do you know anything about it?

Err, I think that actually IS Elliot Easton you are talking to there RR . . . !

What???
Well if it is...Elliot I have your guitar video and your guitar work is stellar.
The whole mirror the chords country twang blues on steroids George
Harrison Tastee Freeze stuff is genius. Love that little 6th chord run in
JWIN.

I have never heard "statute of limitations" described like this. :hmm
It's not that simple where I live [Missouri].

When was this stolen and in what state?
When was it "discovered" and in what state?

I'd still like to know the answer to these questions. :hmm

I have had to deal with a number of stolen guitar situations, being a used guitar store owner for almost 40 years. I have bought stolen guitars, sold stolen guitars and had guitars stolen from me. So, I have experience from several sides of these types of issues.
The answers to these questions might help explain things like "statute of limitations", and different jurisdictions and laws in those jurisdictions.

Don't know what it is, but I am having doubts about this thread. It's going nowhere, and the OP is just tiptoeing around all the advice he's being given. Does any one else feel we are being strung along.

I don't know who you are and I don't know what you are talking about but if you have any doubts
about what I have reported here in regards to my Zemaitis you can tiptoe over to the LV Metro
Pd or to Talladega County Sheriff's office and they can talk to you. Moreover contact Keith
Smart at the Zemaitis Owner's Club. What advice haven't I followed?

Kerryboy at least have the courtesy to identify yourself by your real name
before questioning what I have posted here.

TW59 here are the direct answers to your questions. Sorry for the delay. The guitar was reported stolen in Nevada in February 2012. The guitar turned up on Bama dealers website in July of 2015.

Thanks. That time frame makes any question of statute of limitations moot.

I hope your guitar is recovered [or at least, secured] real soon! :salude

For those of us (myself included) who just want to see swift social media action to "out" the shady dealer, try imagining that your child was kidnapped. Do you give the kidnappers a bad Yelp review, or do you tread lightly and hope for proof of life?

I appreciate all the time you have taken to help me and I understand your
frustration but some of the guys here, who I think are your friends, will
tell you that I am probably a great fan of the The Faces' third album.
