• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

As annoying as it is and unacceptable on a new instrument I would keep it. It's a stunning looking and no doubt sounding example with some lovely flecks in the top.

The finish on the newer Historics seems a lot thicker and more rubbery than in previous years and from the pictures it looks like it could be wet sanded, buffed and polished without much effort to bring it back to new.

15-20 minutes with a good tech with the right equipment and you would never notice it had been there.

That sticker comes on the pick guard and doesn't take much to peel off. Once it is off it never really goes back on there the way it was originally attached.

I had a guitar shipped to me and when I opened the case, little yellow plastic bits were all over the inside of the guitar and case. The seller forgot to remove the switch tip before packing it up. I had other switch tips on hand and the seller apologized. He sent off a new one to me, but ya know sometimes things just happen.

First, thank you all for your comments and concerns. As I mentioned above I buy most all of my equipment from the same person at my local GC. He takes great care of me so I have absolutely no worries there. He works with me very aggressively price wise and his service is second to none. The repair is an easy one and would not be a factor in any decision to return it.
