• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have owned a few Explorers over the years but I'm down to one now; it has a 1 piece body.

neck is a bit thinner than I like but I offer it my forgiveness.

pictured on the left in the second pic .......

Gibson all the way. It is a '79 E2 Explorer. Body is Maple/Walnut/Maple, neck is 5 ply Maple/Walnut. Ebony board. Background is a bit of a mystery though.

1977 Non LE in wine red. Made the B/R/B guard to match the headstock veneer in the late 80s...This tone monster came from my Dad's guitar shop back in the day.

85 Explorer with Roland Synth GK Pickup and electronics. This is the second one made. Alpine white that's yellowed nicely.
Aside from the GK pickup, it's an awesome guitar. Ebony fingerboard, Shaw pickups, and built by me.

great guitar!
