• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

here's a few I took several years ago. i went to Dallas with a friend and was handed the burst and a 58 goldtop dark back for a jam. Played the burst and it was wonderful, played the goldtpop and love at first touch....handed my buddy the burst. Don't get me wrong, it was great. The goldtop was one of those guitars that already knows your name when you pick it up. Maybe the best Les Paul i've played for my personal likes. the burst is every bit as stunning in person.

Here's a few more taken at the Dallas show in '07. The first one is a shot of Jimmy (LPF name "Shovel95") in his space filled with amazing vintage pieces. Lyle and Kerry stopped by showed us what these things can do.

The burst is a nice guitar, but I agree with Kerry: that GT is spectacular.

Great pics John. Look at all the killer stuff in Jim's booth. That was in my "getting fat" days.... 30 lbs lighter now. Little did I know I'd end up with that white Marshall (top half) stack a couple of years later.

Nice photos, and I've always wanted to attend the Dallas show, but just don't want to make that trip alone! I understand why the "jimmy page strap" post was moved from the wrong section, but where was it moved, I don't have the privilages to access??
