Hey everyone. I recently took my Epiphone Les Paul to get a fret leveling and setup, since I would get dead notes when I did some bending. The issues went away and it played nicely, but when I was tuning up I noticed something weird in the open D string. I practice with headphones, so it was evident to me. It's hard to explain, but the way it resonates is different from the other strings.
I'm attaching a recording of my open D string, followed by the open A, so you can hear for yourselves. I'm also attaching a screenshot of the waveforms. You can also see they are different. I'm not very fussy and don't even have such a good ear (at least pitch wise, which I'm working on), but it really does bother me, I'm not sure because it's different and I'm not used to it. Anyway I'd like to get your opinions on whether there's nothing wrong and I'm simply losing it or if it is a thing and can be fixed or I just have to get used to it, but I swear it wasn't like that when I took it in.
I tried out my other guitar btw, I get similar resonance from all six strings. I'm asking because my tech doesn't see the issue, or hears it. I appreciate your insights. PS. I'm kinda new to this forum and am still having trouble uploading files here, so I'll insert a link to the files, sorry about that.
