• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I'm having a hard time finding much info online about this guitar... a couple notes about it.. Sounds like a champ.. plays like a dream... LIGHTWEIGHT... Thicker neck but not ridiculous.. And I can't find a seam in the mahogany body... anywhere.. Please any info would be great. thanks!

It's a Historic Select, meaning it's a 2015 historic but some spec is different, could just be the light body or finish. All historics have one piece bodies except for the Bonamassa R7s.

I happened upon one of these on Reverb lastnight in the UK... it's priced... REALLY high (over 9k).. the top on that one has more figure to the flame, but it shocked me because I paid a good bit less than 5k for this one.

“If you order a True Historic guitar that’s aged, it’s 1959, Gibson’s making guitars, you want a Les Paul? You get what you get! If you wanted specific ageing on a guitar, you would order a Historic Select, because it’s the exact same guitar as True Historic, except for you have the option of colour and ageing pattern.”

From memory the Historic Select line had the same specs carried over from 2014 apart from a shortened the neck tenon. In 2016 they went back to using a long tenon for all Historic's.

That would be the CS line, like the CS8. The HS (historic select) are, as stated above in the guitar.com article, exactly the same as the TH (true historic) line but with custom tops, finishes, ageing etc.

Beautiful guitar.

Ahh yes thanks for clarifying, I'd forgotten about the CS Line and confused it with Historic Select. :salude

HS are awesome. TH build and parts + user spec. I have the first 54, 55, and 56.
