Replacement tuning keys for 1988 Les Paul Custom? No Drill!

Hi,
I am looking for a no-drill replacement for the tuning keys on my '88 LPC. There is no screw holding the stock tuners to the headstock, so I would not want to have to drill any new holes for a stabilizing screw or to have to ream the peg hole out.

You have a 10mm hole. Try the vintage pearloid Gibson, Kluson or Tone Pros. You can choose various ratios 1:14 or 1:18.

Thank you, can you suggest a 10 mm tuner that does not require any small screw holes or post holes to be drilled? I don't to make permanent holes, even small ones, if I can help it. So many older guitars have drill holes around the tuning pegs from someone installing Grovers or Schallers, then putting the originals back in to sell as original "vintage".

If they look like this,

I think they might be Gibson branded Schaller M6 Pin type tuners,I'd bet if you took 1 of the tuners off your guitar you'd find 1 maybe 2 "pin" holes under the body of the tuner into the wood of the headstock.

Interesting! My 88 black Les Paul Custom has the original gold Grover tuners that do have the fixing screws. I guess there were options back in 88. Why are you planning to change the tuners?

I'm thinking about going to nickel hardware so want a drop in replacement for the gold tuners, which work fine. Purely cosmetic.

Ones offered by Stew-Mac are locking Chrome type.

chasenblues is correct. Look into Schaller tuners for this. It'll be either 1 or 2 pin and you should be able to find a replacement.
