What about the 4th and goal a few minutes before,

when the Colts kicked a field goal!?! :wtf

THAT could be the one play that decided the game. ;)

The Colts coaching staff had a good few :wtf calls over the course of that game, didn't they? How about kicking off to the fastest guy in the league, not only once with 12 sec left in the half, but after he burned them that time, they did it again after the game-tying TD.

Doodman, the exact thing I hate about basketball is all but the last 5 minutes of most games are pretty much irrelevant.

The exact thing I love about baseball is, anything can happen at any time. It ain't over until you get that last out, as the Red Sox (and Cubbies) have learned the hard way so many times.

And I'm not arguing your point, you know. It's just that, once all the rest of the game happens, it does sometimes come down to one play, and one player making (or not making) that play is the difference between winning and losing. If Willie McGinest gets blocked on that 4th-and-1, James scores (well... probably) and the Colts win. If Larry Bird doesn't steal that inbounds pass from the Pistons... If Buckner (or Stapleton!!!) fields that grounder...

Oh, forget it.

Trouble is....

when the game(s) are ready to begin, they NEVER let any guitarist play the SSB :wtf Yeah, Zakk did a Mets game a few yrs back, but come on...screaming Gibsons at the onslaught of competetion..how can it get any better than that? Hey...they could even play thru Crate amps if necessary....screw the singing, let's dime it out ...or is that too "over-the-top"?

The Pats also had a 4th quarter touchdown taken away from them, a touchdown that was as clear as a sunny day. How the refs got away with that, and why the Pats didn't do anything about it, is beyond me. But they scored another TD in the same possesion a down or so later anyway. They deserved to win that game by a long shot. One of the best games of the year, imo.
