• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Funny how they are instantly associated to telecasters while their golden era was all Les Pauls

Killer photos , I most like the one before the last image as the burst that Mick Taylor is playing has a lot of figure and for the life of me I do not remember that burst (the one with Charlie next to him ) . Plus I have the Andy Bubiak book and do not remember seeing an image of that most figured Burst . Mighty Thanks for posting !

Look at that image from recent years of Keef with what looks like to me as a vintage burst

Great thread. All the bursts and all the boys wielding them!

Hmm... What did you do when you were 21?

If you are Mick Taylor you wield your original sunburst Les Paul Standard, become a full-fledged member of The Rolling Stones, and record Sticky Fingers.

At 21.

FWIW: Page was the reason I wanted a burst, and Mick was the reason I wanted an SG.
