• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

The Eagle has landed!

Sweetness personified.

How long did you stay up playing it "for just a minute more" after we talked the other night?

Thanks for all the kind words guys.:salude

I can't comment on the wait time as I didn't send this R4 in to Dave.
It was Kim's personal R4 that was sent by him to be madeover.I think he sent it to Dave in '07.I'm not sure.
Then it became Dave's personal guitar in a deal they worked out.
Then I picked it up from Dave.
Make sense?:lol

To me, the hard part would be having the guitar away for so long. Mapleflame alway suggests doing the stripping ahead of time because it can reduce the wait.

I have yet to see a DJ that sucked, so no worries there.

I would also probably have sleepless nights shipping a guitar half way around the world.

You going with FatBoy on the pup covers?

Hi Chuck,
Those would be cool.Duncan covers are great too.I had those on my other R4 that I owned a couple of years back.
Have you got any bone white covers you could hook me up with?
What covers are on your R6?

Funny, my eye sees some red on my monitor. Looks great!

Thanks.
I see what you mean though. It's a difficult color to truely capture with photos.
Here is an indoor pic with a flash.
The PRS is a cherry back and the R4 is walnut brown
