Pricing help! 1985 Custom

Yesterday I found a 1985 Gibson Les Paul Custom for sale. (Individual seller, I did not take pics) It is your basic Black Custom with chrome instead of gold, non-original tuners and EMGs. Front of body has several small dings and a spot of wear from picking, but overall pretty clean. Back has a large spot the size of your hand in the belly area down to the wood.
Back of neck has several long strips of missing finish from play. Maple neck is now visible. Chainsaw case missing one latch but otherwise decent shape.

my question...what is the right price? Prices have gone up on all guitars, but this one is neither original nor very rare.

So true! The bass that I play every gig now, I didn't even know what year it was when I bought it. But it played great, and had the sound I was looking for.
