Definetly not for everyone , but as a fellow luthier I love the handwork .
People either love 'em or hate 'em :) But more than once, somebody who thought they would hate my La Perla played it and I watched their attitude turn on a dime. Professor Twang (on this forum), calls my La Perla the Liberace guitar :)

My first Teye though was a dud, and it although it was an S model, it had many A level traits, as it was one of the first La Llamas, so extra love was put into it. The tone was great pickup and electronics wise, but there was something about the low E string that was dud like. It just didn't sustain, and it never seemed in tune. I reslotted the nut and bridge saddles, checked all fret levels, and did everything I could to get the string to come alive. I just think it was a dead piece of wood. I remember googling Teye La Llamas, and my actual guitar was shown on a website where most said it looked hideous ( Personally, I liked the looks, but wasn't too hip on the gold hardware) :)

But when I played my La Perla it was love at first strum. I just had bought my Mesa Boogie Fillmore and those two were just made for each other. And it sounds great plugged into my other amps too. I like how it retains identity whether I plug into my Marshall or my Boogie

And my newer Fox is also a nice guitar, and it's pulling some good music out of me. It's the first time I've played a guitar with a Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup in both the neck and bridge positions. They are very low DC resistance compared to a typical LP setup but they sound great. I prefer the three pickup Teye setup but the two pickup versions is still pretty cool!

I won’t see it until early October, but I purchased this a few days ago as a pre-order. I plan on modifying it with Gibson pickups & totally changing the wiring. I’ve always gassed for a Gibson 6/4 Doubleneck. The cost has gotten way out of reach & also, I’ve never liked the bass on top. This Eastwood is close to what I wish the Gibson was. It has a short scale bass neck like the Gibson Doubleneck & the bass is on the bottom. Also, it was cheap enough to modify………..

What kind of pickups are you going with? Eastman guitars tend to come with quality pickups as it is.

I’m really not familiar with Eastwood at all. It might be fine as is. I was thinking of using a 60’s mudbucker or a TB+ pickup on the bass side. I have a Jim DeCola bass pickup from a LP jr DC Tribute bass as a possibility. I have a set os Seymore Duncan Pearly Gate humbuckers as a possibility for the guitar side.

I could be wrong, but it looks like you would have to do considerable additional routing to get a humbucker in those routes.

I’m planning on doing lots of routing. If those pickups don’t work, I have several other options that will. It seemed to be a good platform to modify it the way I want it. It was cheap enough to take a chance on.

After doing a bit more research on used guitars that have sold, it sounds like the body’s are somewhat hollow. This will make routing much easier but it might cause other issues. Time will tell………

Good luck! FWIW, there are full kits for solid body double necks out there for the price of that Eastwood.
