Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Great guitar and great pics again. Kind of off topic, but how is your Meteor treating you? It looks like I'm back in the Tone King fold. I gave my son my Comet 40B, and was gonna look at a Meteor or Rambler so I could cut down weight, and then a friend decided he wanted to sell his Comet 20. He's been buying a bunch of vintage Fender stuff and decided he probably shouldn't keep the Comet 20, so I decided to grab it. I have mostly been using my Carr Mercury, but I forgot how good the clean channel on the Comet sounds. Hope to take it to rehearsal this weekend and see if I can really do the two channel thing.
I like it so far, tom. I'm going to gig with it for the first time this weekend. The gig is going to be recorded (more professionaly than I've been doing the recordings), so you'll be able to hear what it sounds like.
I've been talking to Mark Bartel about building a matching 1X12 extension cabinet for me. That may be cool.
Thanks for putting up such great pics. You do an awesome job at this and it's really fantastic for those of us who want to learn the intimate details of these guitars.
lpnv59: Bob's having a tough time giving up "your" Burst. He raised the price and he told me even if I bought it at that price he wouldn't be jumping for joy! Burst prices are on the move again.
325: Yes, the Burst link is still open. Here are the links to my 3 bursts:
:dude I kid, GM, them's nice pics of that GT, and CD it's funny seeing both GT's with that same wear mark on the cutaway.... makes you wonder if they WERE in the same hands at one point..
