• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

OMG!! This is too Cool!

Before you thread nazi's start griping about this being in the wrong section, just know I'm not plugging this auction I've just never seen anything like this before!

Who would be the customer for this?! I love it, but I also know I'm not the average Jazz box customer (and don't really feel like spending that kind of bling on a guitar that I couldn't play out)

Sorry, doesn't do anything at all for me.

Each to their own I guess.

I like it myself--is that maybe a Pelham(ish) blue?

Ditch the gold hardware and headstock ornamentation, switch to split diamond inlays (how about only one at the 12th fret instead?) and it would look much cooler imo.

I saw this the other day. Rarely does a guitar make me cringe (other than a lefty). Looks like it should be sitting next to a pink flamingo.

I remember seeing a guitar just this at Mars Guitars. The sales guy called it an "L-6". Gibson borrowed this color from Rickenbacker.

Lol!

J45 of all the people on this forum I thought you would dig this! After looking at all the retro stuff you have collected over the years I'm surprised to not have seen a pink bathroom shot, black and white checkerboard floor in the kitchen and Pink Flamingos!

Oh well, I guess I like it because convention says an L-5 should be Sunburst or blonde and you have to play a certain style of music on it.

You're right, I usually gravitate towards the challenging but this one somehow escapes me. I do have a vintage style black and white check kitchen floor, though :salude

From the listing: "This is something you can play, or put away and let it appreciate in value"
Oh, it also states that it's for sale "well below the price it was sold for ten years ago"

Regardless... I love it! What a cool guitar.

Cool and different! I like that cutaway style. Venetian? Florentine? Freudian? Venereal?
