• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Boy, am I late to this party! Huge congratulations Kris! :dude:

Me too! Holy smokes, what a beautiful find!

I boarded in the mid to late 70's as well. Built a half pipe in the backyard and did some tricks, but mainly skate boarded for transportation until I could drive. :)
Mine was a Hobie Park Rider, with ACS 651 trucks and green Kryptonic wheels with German racing bearings... (Weird that I can still remember this after all these years!)

Anyway, congrats on the V man, and I'm happy to hear about your wife's recovery!

Just curious...have you taken any steps to clean the guitar, or remove the unsightly grit and grime? Mojo is one thing, but your guitar appears to have accumulations of harmful grit and contamination. Leaving your guitar in this condition may expose it to premature wear and tear, and possible damage to sensitive parts and electronics. :dang

Yes and no. The electronics and cavities are cleaned, and the body is for the most part. But due to possibly removing more finish, etc... I have decided to not try harsh cleaning techniques. I’ll just take tetanus shots yearly. :salude

Love that guitar! Man I’ll bet it could tell some stories.

Great find, great tone. Play it in good health and glad to hear the missus is back on form.

Many congrats! I already said so on Instagram when you first announced it, but it's worth saying here again.
