• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

So for the past months I’ve noticed a strange tingling sensation whenever I saw pictures of old Juniors (no pun intended), and the symptoms got worse as time passed. I have a lovely cherry 58’, but the old single cuts have a undefined appeal to me. After checking out some alternatives, I posted a WTB ad locally more as a novelty - there are very few old LPs around here. After an hour I received pictures of a beautiful 55’ that checked all the boxes. All original apart from the cap and some wiring (and case), no breaks and a lovely patina. A deal was quickly made, and I picked this babe up last week. Plays and sounds really good, and is pretty darn close to my ideal Jr. She will get a proper check-up (particularily the bridge posts) this week, but I am very very pleased eith this one. Juniors are awesome guitars!

Took a closer inspection of her yesterday, and thankfully the previous owner was not completely up to date on specs. The cap is original (Grey Tiger), one of the wires has been changed and there is (naturally) some newer soldering. Otherwise all there:).
