Need Marshall opinions . Please ?

All right . Now I get it .

I have owned half a dozen different Marshalls , all MV's .

I guess I had never played through a 4 input JTM 45
in my life .

Well , I played through BB RI this weekend . Oh shit !
Now , I appreiciate that this IS NOT as good as the original ,
but I can't afford the original . And I want to get away from a half stack , so an old steel face modded is not what I want to do right now .

That to get to my question- are all the regular BB RI's the same ?
Do I have to buy THAT ONE , or will they all be basically the same ?

Theyll all be in teh same ballpark from teh factory, but I understand that a lot of people who buy those amps hotrod them in one way or another.lf this one's bone stock, it'll work out, you';ll find another that sounds really close.

If you want to put it in the ballpark, then TedB's mods are the way to go.. I think Lily has put the link up to Ted's tech writeup in our FAQ section..

Check it out. I'm in the process of rebuilding my JTM45 RI back to as original as I can.. That along with all the other stuff I'll probably get done around 2076!!

I sent my 1966 JTM45 to Ted B and it came back sounding like I hoped it would. It is a magical amp. My understanding of the neww reissue BB's is that they need some help but can sound very good..........
